  • Expo Business premise revisited – Hengelo, the Nethlands

    The first day that wasn’t rainy this week, so I took my Cyber-shot U20 out for a photo walk. The camera is only 2 megapixels, but did kinda allright with this abundance of light.

    I decided to try to experiment a little. I ran the images through RawTherapee for some cropping and rotating, then leveled the colors. I then upscaled the images three times with AI upscayl. Next, I processed them with SnapSeed while adding a film filter and re-apllied some grain that the AI upscale removed. I quite like the results IMHO.

    The AI upscaling doesn’t always look good, it can sometimes create weird artifacts. I tend to get weird results when there are a lot of organic stuff in the photo.

    Taken on a very cold and showery day. But it sure made for some dramatic skies. First (lucky) shot was taken with my PowerShot G3, the others with my Dimage Xi. Edited with a combination of RawTherapee, SnapSeed and 1998cam.
