  • Retentiegebied Kristalbad- Hengelo, the Netherlands

Taken on a relatively warm day with my new PhotoSmart 435. Edited with SnapSeed. If we may believe the weather report, today was kind of a bonus day, a break from the cold and rain.

  • Jan van Galenstraat – Hengelo, the Netherlands

    Cyber-shot U20, edited with SnapSeed.

  • Tichelpark – Hengelo, the Netherlands

Left one is taken with my Cyber-shot U20, the right one with the PhotoSmart 435. Edited with SnapSeed and RawTherapee.

  • The old postoffice – Prins Beatrixstraat, Hengelo, the Netherlands

First shots with my HP Photosmart 435. Back in the days, this wasn’t a high-end camera. It’s pretty slow, and the image quality is kinda bad, but still, I like today’s images. Edited with SnapSeed.

  • Demmersweg – Hengelo, the Netherlands

Upscaling and processing on this photo, taken with my Cyber-shot U20, trying not to touch the purple color that dominated the sky this morning.

  • Expo Business premise revisited – Hengelo, the Nethlands

The first day that wasn’t rainy this week, so I took my Cyber-shot U20 out for a photo walk. The camera is only 2 megapixels, but did kinda allright with this abundance of light.

I decided to try to experiment a little. I ran the images through RawTherapee for some cropping and rotating, then leveled the colors. I then upscaled the images three times with AI upscayl. Next, I processed them with SnapSeed while adding a film filter and re-apllied some grain that the AI upscale removed. I quite like the results IMHO.

The AI upscaling doesn’t always look good, it can sometimes create weird artifacts. I tend to get weird results when there are a lot of organic stuff in the photo.
