Taken with my new camera, a Panasonic with 12x zoom and 10mp. A different caliber camera than I’m used to, I don’t just stuff it into a pocket. The images it produces are excellent, the 12x zoom really helping me with the far away subjects of today.

Before the war, Oradour-sur-Glane was a quiet, rural community in central France. In 1944, the village was left in ruins after German Waffen-SS troops massacred 642 men, women, and children before burning the village to the ground. Today, tourists can visit the old town of Oradour where crumbling walls, cars, and other household items have been left untouched for the last 74 years. The ruins of this village serve as a reminder of Nazi atrocities suffered by not only the French but also other civilian populations who came face-to-face with Nazi oppression.

Taken with my Dimage X (2mp). This camera is really bad, but in a good way 🙂
Zooming in just a little, results in blurryness, there’s a lot of chromatic abbrivation, there are colors that shouldn’t be there, almost no details in the shadows, and zooming in at it’s max makes the image totally fuzzy. But still, I like the overall vibe and uniqueness of the camera, almost like a Polaroid. I am in doubt if I should place these under my lofi blog, or the regular blog. I think I’ll do both 😉
