The camera
Above, you can see the camera body from all angles.
The cx6200 is equipped with a 2 Megapixel sensor, and controls are simple and basic.
Fortunately it has a dedicated button to disable the flash, which saves you a trip to the menu.
The camera has an optical viewfinder, but it’s not super accurate, as it shows a little more of the surroundings than it actually records. Should be the other way around in my opinion.
The camera takes 2 NiMh AA batteries (I use IKEA’s).
I didn’t test the usb connection port, it’s probably usb 1.0 anyway.
I always use memorycard readers with my digicams to load them into the computer.
It has a fixed-focus lens, so no half pressing the shutter, it takes instant pictures. Well, relatively instant 🙂
Being from 2002, it’s a little slow to write the images to the SD card. Except some time between shots.
As a downside I would mention the size of the camera.
It’s certainly not huge, but keeping it in your jeanspocket won’t be stealth, so to say.
So far, no problems with this camera. It’s really basic, it does what it has to do.
Take a look at the images taken with the camera after editing here.
I would recommend this camera if you want the old digicam look from the beginning of the 2000s!
You can see the cards, card-readers and battery-chargers I use with my digicams on these page (coming soon).
But, what can the camera do? Check out all the Straight out of camera (SOOC) images below.
Make sure to click them if you want to pixelpeep.

Photos under sunny conditions, some clouds
Shooting directly in the sun
Check out the first one, the sun’s rays crush the sensor 🙂
This doesn’t always happen as you can see on the second image.
